i think it has something to do with some kooky gamma loader that comes on during startup. i myself am looking for a solution to get rid of the problem altogether because i hate having to go into standby to make the screen look normal. I have an IMB thinkpad that loads with a green screen (possibly to save battery by darkening the screen?), it goes away when i put the laptop into standby mode. I went into my display properties, clicked on "settings" and changed my display colors from 256 to "True color 24 bit". Hey everyone the people who said to adjust your cables are correct i had the same problem and i just fixed it by attatching the cables better. Today i had a pink tint to my lcd monitor i thought for sure something was fried but it just ended up being a lose connector thanks guys for your help WOW and double wow, just check for a loose connection first! That worked on my LG! My daughter (my computer wiz) tried all the other things but did not do this and unbelievealby it worked! Thanks I was throwing this one out as soon as I could get to a store. So, I have a NVIDIA GeForce 9800GTX+ Video card, and two inserts for my moniter, I tried disconnecting the connector, cleaning it, and retrying, then trying in the other insert, no luck :| none of these work and my OS is windows vista 32-bit totally fixed by unplugging and replugging in the cables!!!!!
